Shift Supervisors

Part Time position working an average of 15-25 hours a week

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be mature, responsible, and reliable
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must have a valid NC license with reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and work in a fast paced environment 
  • Must have weekend and week night availability
  • Knowledge of figure skating and hockey is helpful but not required
  • Previous experience in the ice rink industry is a plus
  • Previous customer service or management experience is a plus

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Cash management
  • Employee and building supervision
  • Time management of on-ice activities
  • Operate the Olympia
  • Handling customer concerns
  • Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests

Zamboni Driver

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 or older 
  • Must have a valid NC license with reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be working towards or possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have weekend and week night availability
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to grasp concepts quickly and be able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of figure skating and hockey is helpful but not necessary

Job Requirements: 

  • Successfully driving and operating a zamboni (no previous driving experience required)
  • Ice maintenance 
  • Logging compressor levels
  • Employee and building supervision
  • Exhibiting superior customer service

Additional Information

  • Hours for these positions range from 5:30am to 1:30am (opening, midday, and closing shifts).
  • We do not have any openings for people looking to only work Mon-Fri daytime hours.

SUPPORT STAFF

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be working towards or possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have weekend and week night availability
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to grasp concepts quickly and be able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of figure skating and hockey is helpful but not necessary

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Skate Rental, Front Desk, Ice Patrol, Scorekeeper
  • General customer service – interacting with customers, answering phones, program registrations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility
  • Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests using excellent customer service skills

Camp Counselor

Qualifications:

  • Must be 17 or older with a worker’s permit
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be working towards or possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have weekday availability
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to grasp concepts quickly and be able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of figure skating and hockey is helpful but not necessary

Job Requirements

  •  Implement the weekly schedule for your camp group.
  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities
  • Identify and respond to camper needs
  • Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to ice skate or to learn to ice skate.
  • Must pass a background check
